For GhostStat analytics, no. The tracker sets no cookies and uses no local storage, and it never stores IP addresses — so there is nothing to consent to for the analytics themselves. Always check your own obligations, especially if you run other scripts on the page.

It derives a short-lived, one-way hash from the site, network, browser and the calendar day, salted per site. Because the day is part of the input, the hash rotates every 24 hours and can't follow anyone across days — and it can't be linked between two different sites. See the Privacy Policy.

Yes — enable public stats in a site's settings and you get a shareable, crawlable page showing aggregates only (top pages, referrers, devices, countries). Individual visitors, recordings and heatmaps are never exposed publicly.

GhostStat runs on PHP 8.3 and MariaDB. Self-hosting customers run their own infrastructure; the install page provides the snippet and configuration. Email us for guidance on a self-hosted setup.

Yes. You can send custom events from your own code or via the built-in Tag Manager plugin, and read your stats through the API. The install page and in-app docs have the details.
